Hey fam, it’s Liuser here with my first post here. As you guys probably already know, we at Captured Kicks will be exploring the trends in sneakers and streetwear. Unlike my friend Cent here who doesn’t fall into the hype and encourages everyone to buy what they want and not what others want, I buy what other people like and follow the hype. Thus the term “hypebeast.” I got into the sneaker game around two years ago and ever since then I’ve been “hypebeasting” and just buying what other people like. Not only am I a hypebeast, but I’m also a “reseller”. What is a reseller? Basically someone who buys shoes and sells them for a profit, I’ll explain in detail further throughout the next few weeks. Resellers are probably one of the most hated peeps in the sneaker community but in saying that, they are also beneficial to the sneaker community. Basically my segment “Hypebeasting” will be exploring sneaker releases that people are most excited about as well as providing an insight on what sneakers you can target to resell and make a quick buck.

One of the more popular shoes at the moment and my personal favourites is the Nike Flyknit Racer. The Nike Flyknit Racer is a Flyknit running shoe that released in 2013. The most famous colourway is the “Multi-colour” and two renditions have been released. The Flyknit Racer is a very popular running performance shoe due to its incredibly lightweight and precision fit that feels like a second skin, however more recently it has become a very very popular lifestyle shoe that fits perfectly in hypebeast’s collection like my own. The Nike Flyknit Racer has become so popular that just getting your hands on a general release is pretty difficult these days. What’s even harder is getting your hands on a pair that hasn’t come out yet. Vietnamese sneakerhead “teetun118” recently took to his Instagram to show off his unreleased Nike Flyknit sample. This pair of red, pink, and purple Racer has exploded his comments with tonnes of people eager to cop. He does have a few pairs he is willing to sell but is limited in quantity and sizing.

Another pair that has been circulating social media is the Nike Flyknit Racer “Green Strike.” Samples have been floating around and is probably one of the freshest colourways we’ve seen this year after the disappointing “Blue Lagoon” and “Sherbet” releases. The upper of this racer features and attractive blend of light green and royal blue, but also a white tongue that sets this pair off. It sort of has a HTM-esque feel to it. Some early release pairs have already been spotted in stores in the US as well as online sneaker market places like Klekt. Similar to the pink and purple racer described above, expect this pair to be hard to get and most likely a sell-out as the Flyknit craze is now at an all time high.

From what I’ve been told, both these pairs are set to release sometime during October and hopefully they do. Expect these to fly off the shelves when they release so be quick or miss out.

If you want my opinion on these, I’d probably cop the pink and purple racer just because it looks amazing. The other one, not so much as I’m not a big fan of the green and blue, but with that being said if all my friends buy it, I’ll probably end up buying a pair as well. That’s all from me this week, stay tuned next week for my take on resellers as well as other sneakers that may be releasing and suitable for the hypebeast.

But for now,

Liuser.
